I’m currently working on my bachelors in communication design and I’ll be done in december. In my sophomore year I realized I wanted to do character design when I took my anatomy drawing classes. I am constantly trying to improve my character studies when I’m traveling on the train in Chicago. I totally agree that having a strong understanding with anatomy will open endless opportunities for character design.
On another note, I recently got a hold of the out of print "Art of Ratatouille” and when I saw Jason’s work I was blown away!
Jason, if you ever read this... I’m currently pursuing my dream to come work at Pixar! I hope to meet you in the next year our two!
Really awesome gallery. Thank you for sharing. I have a lot of Art of Pixar books, and unfortunately I had a financial hitch during Walle. This article reminds me that I HAVE to order it NOW! Thanks again, great interview. Inspiring. :)
